Makes me glad I'm not driving at the moment...not banned or anything just told myself I not going out in my car with me driving.

I hope your wife forgets the experience soon and get on with doing what she likes doing, tell her it's not unusual and it happens to the best of us..

KP, even a £20 dashcam is enough evidence for the police these days

HI I would check that a dash cam can actually see number plates, the cheap ones do not always give a clear picture.

Its quite a common occurence over here, especially as we have loads of country roads that are really only 1 1/2 cars wide, stone wall one side 2 ft drop into drainage gulley on the other side. Not so bad on the straights but its the bends when oncoming traffic always crosses over. As an english expat I always slow and give way because you know whats going to happen. The spanish just throw the cars in with the expectation of getting away with it. Sadly there are far too many cars in bits and ditches abandoned for a a day or so to prove them wrong! Even worse when you meet a truck!

I'm glad your wife survived with nothing more than a nasty experience KP, it could have been so much worse.

I live in a rural area, lots of horses around especialy at weekends, several horse stables (lots and lots) and coddy muck all over the roads!

I'd taken my son to school one morning, it was 10 miles away...coming back down a country road 2/3 horse riders on the other side, going round a blind bend...what do I meet? a Range Rover on my side of the road overtaking the gee gee's  :o

Being a good driver i managed to brake and stop letting the twit carry on.

No sweat I'm used to that sort of thing anyway...not bragging or owt %%
Trying to lighten the mood......

Yes, get a good dash cam and it is a good idea also to get one for the rear window. I have found that the tailgaters really back off when they see it. Hope she gets better. nemesis

I have used a compact camera on the parcel shelf works sometimes if the little red light is lit.. most effective is a very large all black german sheperd dog..they disappear into the distance..must get another..later.

Yoy can sign up to a website and post your dash cam to them. Its run by ex traffic police officers and they have the power to forward it to the poli e for further action. Bedfordshire police are one of the few suthorities that do not accept dash cam footage as evidence at present.
Stupid i know but there it is!
Luton police in particilar are very good st ignoring traffic crime even when it happens in front of police cars!!! This comes frim the force that wants to turn on the cameras on the M1 and set them to 70 as they have no money!
