Model Stand
« on: September 03, 2007, 08:35:55 pm »

I thought you might like to see my idea for a flexible modelling stand. It is a tv bracket from B&Q mounted on the wall. A wooden stand is screwed to it's top surface and the model sits on top. The model can be turned round without touching it, it can be set at right angles to the wall at any angle for painting or detailing. This model is 64" long and is about on the limit.

It looked good at Ellesmere Mark, but wouldn't be too popular in our club as it would severely restrict the number of models we could get into our space if we all did it ;D

by the way just weighed it

55.12lbs for the boat stand (minus boat and vehicles)
6.6lbs for the model in a ready to sail condition
