:-))Hi Stavros, I really need your HELP! I am restoring a wooden plank of frame model of the Waveney Lifeboat query Aerokits model.  This is in memory of my son who was tragically killed in a car accident in Australia.  I bought the model off ebay and I have decided to strip it down to bare wood using Nitromors and a small sharp chisel to scrape paint and filler off.  How do do I now proceed, please send me an email or pm, my email is tug.wilson@talktalk.net/
Many Thanks

Hi All,      Not sure what colour to paint your boat?      Simple, employ a load of graffiti artists like these guys.     Cheers now,   Geoff.

For a better search response, please use the search box on Mayhems front page, rather the the forum one.

Hope this helps

This is what happens when you can spend tens of millions of pounds on a super yacht, but still have dubious taste!

It's a real boat and the inside isn't much better. Motor Yacht "Guilty".

Hi Stavros

I'm here to learn and I'll find the post you mentioned.  I do have a question though. I have a Hale's Spraymaster to restore (paint seems sound enough, though the colour is a little bleached out).

How can I tell what modern paint can go over the original once lightly sanded? Thanks

Regards Dave

I had the same problem, so I ran a google search “billings coastguard build by Stavros”. And this is what I came up with:

Billings Coast Guard conversion the Stavros way
« on: September 03, 2007, 08:11:38 PM »
www.modelboatmayhem.co.uk/forum/index.php?topic=5925.0

Or this site:
