Interesting to see that when doing a 180 degree turn the boats remain on their relevant sides of the formation, i.e. one boat starts the turn, and finishes it, on the port or starboard side. Is this standard procedure? Except when in close formation two aircraft would cross over, being line astern half way round the turn and would have swapped sides at the completion of the turn. Not that I know anything about boats, I was aircrew!!

Notwithstanding this two very nice models. One day, perhaps....!

Hi Graham
Are you starting a new Task Force 24?
It would be great to see them at the Geelong Wooden Boat Festival next March 10 - 12 (long weekend)
http://woodenboatfestivalgeelong.com.au/
There will be a model boat display if we can get enough clubs interested and Illawong group will have their portable pool (although it might be a bit small for high speed runs!)
