uncerimonious end thank god.
« on: November 04, 2017, 12:46:10 pm »

This might be taken down as offensive, and fair enough, but this disgusting person was a part of most children's lives of similar age to myself at that awful time in our lives. children were frightened and fear was in the air up and down the country, thinking that grown adults could do this to children.........and yet is still happening. I can only thank that brave judge who made this decision instead of the mamby pamby one who allowed Hindley's ashes to be scattered close to where these disgusting people buried those innocent children.

And I FOR ONE, thank the judicial system of this country, for getting something right for a change.

Cremated and sent to the bottom of the sea: Ian Brady's unceremonious end.
The body of the Moors Murderer Ian Brady has finally been cremated following a legal battle over his last wishes. Here is how the remains of the infamous child killer were disposed of:Wednesday, October 25 2017
9pm - Brady's body collected from the mortuary at the Royal Liverpool hospital by an appointed official from Tameside council and a pathologist who attended his post-mortem. Escorted by an unmarked police car with an inspector and sergeant from Merseyside Police, the corpse is transported by road to Southport Crematorium. Brady's body does not enter any public area and it placed in a standby cremator.

10pm exactly - The cremation begins in the presence of Brady's solicitor, Robin Makin, the police officers, council officials and two crematorium workers. In accordance with a judge's order no music was played, there were no flowers and no photographs were taken. Once the cremation is complete Brady's ashes are placed in a biodegradable urn made of Himalayan rock salt. The weighted urn is designed to sink to the bottom of the sea immediately before dissolving over a few hours.

May those poor children finally rest in peace.

Neil. <:(

The sea does not deserve to be tainted and dirtied by his ashes, nor should many great mariners and landlubbers passed have to share their resting place with him.

His ashes should've been dumped in landfill, personally. Out with the trash.

His body should have been buried in land fill, why waste energy on cremation.

Hopefully the rocksalt would have sweetened the excrement that it was filled with for the sea's sake.

I am not for the death sentence unless a perpetrator is proven guilty by iron bound proof and in these cases maybe those who defile and murder children should hang. I know there is the mental illness issue, but surely even people touched by psycosis must realise that their behaviour is not right in society? And what about relatives and friends, do they not notice odd behaviour?

An adult has a resaonable chance to defend themselves and those they love, they may have the wherewithall to remember a means or method to fend an attacker off, or can shout for help, but a child may have neither the strength or canniness to avoid such a situation. Also, many children so aboused or murdered know their attacker and so are lulled into a false sense of security. Is it not right that, as the majority of adults and parents are decent and loving without clause, children should be able to trust them?

I do agree with the cremation. It stops some sick individual being able to recover it.

Over 50 yrs incarceration at disgustingly huge cost to achieve what? while hospitals are strapped for cash and pensioners still die in winter because they're afraid to heat the house. Hang the lot!

As an ex Prison Officer I wonder how many of you realise just how much per week it costs to keep a category "A" prisoner in jail. I have been retired now for nearly 20 years and in the nineties,as I recall, it was around 5K a week, factor in inflation etc and how much is it going to cost us the taxpayers (yes I get taxed on my Civil service pension) to keep this scum incarcerated. Then they go and rub a load of salt in the wound by allowing that thing that killed Lee Rigby legal aid to sue the Prison dept for lack of duty of care for not stopping him losing two teeth when he had to be forcibly restrained after he had kicked off violently at members of staff. Personally I think the investment of 40p for an SA80 round would make much more sense.
Keep smiling people it won't improve until you get a government with a pair.
          Regards, Pete.

Why were you frightened Neil? I doubt many were, there was not the media coverage then as today nor social media and mobile phones for all the kids to discuss. Just think of the field (no pun  intended) day that pair would have had today with  kids  happy to meet  or show their bits  to strangers on the web.

Much cheaper than a lead round is a good quality rope that will last indefinitely

You would probably run into my back! Ropes will break with age deterioration fresh/new rounds are the way forward. Far less labour intensive. Think of the upkeep and maintenance on a gallows plus the fact that we will need one in every major city.

Bren gun was never any good as a section weapon as it was too accurate so was replaced with the gpmg
The Bren was promoted to spotting for anti tanks. Great skill was required to calculate the mismatch of trajectory of a 7.62 v a 120mm
Far more accurate than the slr
