Some very good news and a rare opportunity for those model submariners who would like to sail in an indoor swimming pool (winter sailing, underwater photos etc). I have been in touch with The Model Show Organiser, Mark Henshaw.

His email follows:
"Hello...a brief response to say yes, you can come as individuals. ..the more the merrier..we have two sessions each day.

(Thanks to David J for the original tip.)

Please note that you need to URGENTLY fill in and send off an Exhibitor's Entry Form. You can ask for a form to be emailed to you from Mark Henshaw details below or from me (pm me your email address).  (I have already sent copies of the form to each of the 46 registered AMS members.)
As an Exhibitor you get free entry, and lunch if you stay for both sessions.

I've just had a final reminder from the event organiser.

If you wish to take part in this event (It's rare to have a swimming pool for model submarines) then you need to phone or email him NOW.

(They can't deal with modellers just turning up on the day.)

I am heading over there on  the Saturday.

See you!

Have we got some pics and/or videos? With 46 invitations sent out, should have had plenty show up.

It's okay, I saw the pictures you posted over on the Sub Committee page. It was just the one model submariner attended then.

I see the same pictures have been posted on the AMS forum, so you can view them there if you aren't a SC member.

I think if the organisers want to see more model submarines at their show, then increased sailing slots would provide more incentive. Two half hour sailing slots doesn't offer much time to operate, and whilst modellers may enjoy other exhibits at the show I'm not convinced it would attract anyone beyond a modest radius from the venue.

Also three weeks notice of an event is much too late, you need more like three months or greater.
