I was wondering if this was an official kit or did someone enthusiastically scale a plan up to this size?
You certainly wont miss it on the water!
No doubt brushless motors are the order of the day for twin props; though in the old days a lawn mower engine would have been dropped in!
Last year I sold my 'as new' Gannett 15cc engine which was a work of art. But I decided messing around with sparks and 4 star petrol was not for me; plus the old Sea Queen may not have taken the strain.
Look forward to the progress.  Top marks for giving this model a new life.

Another thought, where to sail the beast with a 2 stroke motor????  a lot of clubs now won't allow I/C engines, noise pollution etc, so choose wisely as a lovely model is spoilt by not being able to sail it

Only just seen this post as in the wrong section really and I don't usually venture in here!  :-)

I hope you are big and strong or have a helper as that is a whopper and once the motors and batteries etc. are in it will weigh a ton!

Mine's bad enough at 46.5".
