right.....have the motor and prop shaft mounted. will do pics later. i spent all last Saturday afternoon doing the rudder assembly. Ive gone with the kit one. so i cut off the fixing tab. found some brass and had another look. the rudder is not wide enough to drill a hole in, so i marked where i wanted the brass to attach to the rudder. i made a 30 degree bend in the brass and flattened the end of the 30 degree bit. i offered it up to the model ensuring the prop would not fowl. i cut and outer tube to act as the rudder post and checked all was free moving. took toge rudder off and lokked for my 1mm o rings and washers i would need to seal it all. in the mean time, the dreaded rudder monster appeared and disappeared with my rudder.........
3 bl***y hours looking for it! not in any of the boxes i opened up for the o rings, on the desk, floor in the boat ......in short nowhere to be found! now without the original a could not even a home made version! so went and had dinner. wife asked how it was going. i told her what had happened. she then produced my rudder telling me i should be more careful.....turns out she had come up to see me and while I was getting the washers she reached over and took my rudder.amused i was not. i could have finished that section but as it stands it still is not complete as i had to go out! so not finding my wife funny at the moment......but it does beg the question.......is she behind all the disappearances of my modelling stuff? bearing in mind Ive lost 2 spektrum dx7s controllers, 1 boat and several tools.
