I'm not unduly worried as I don't believe the world will run out of Americans any time soon.
I once saw something similar comparing the number of words in the Lord's Prayer, the Ten Commandments, The Sermon on the Mount and the EU Umpteenth Directive on the Export of Duck Eggs, but I have since been informed by the wonderful QI Forum that this is bunkum. It was a US Directive about cabbages...

Dunno why the the jihadi's are trying to kill them off, given enough time they will do it themselves given that last figure.

Yes. If the population were to remain exactly as it is at the moment and no-one died of any other cause then that time would be approx 27,734 years and three months.
Not a lot of people know that, you know.
