god knows where it got the name of a blue green parrot from though,

Green Parrot was Admirals Barge back in my days in the Andrew.
No connection there methinks.  :embarrassed:

I did see / hear rumours of a new kit at Warwick show last week!
Can't remember who or where off hand, I'll have another scan through my photos and post.

those by Atlantic Mouldings are a clone of the lesro/duplex boat, and seeing as SLEC  has procured the full set including all fittings I wonder whether Atlantic have actually permission to sell those they have produced.

it would seem strange for Lesro to have given permission for two different companies to produce the same, seeing as only 2 years ago Lesro said they had absolutely no ambition to have the model resurrected.

Sometimes you're best waiting for the 'sell it for £1 or maximum £3' promo on big ticket sales. That way you can accept lower offers than you'd normally sell for plus, avoid fleabays 10% snatch! Ive done a couple like this, sold a TRex 700 heli for £600 and only paid a quid in fees. I'd have needed to sell at over £660 otherwise which was going to be hard to achieve. Best of luck with the sale though.

thanks boatonic…….I actually signed up to a £1 per sale before I put it up for sale...….I shall check on that status in the next day or two and ask whether it was logged...…….if not i'll remove it until one comes up again...…….thanks for the nod. cheers.

I have been chatting with atlantic mouldings via PM, after my post about those mouldings being clones of LESRO ,  and I must offer my open and sincere apologies to Atlantic Mouldings and say I am sorry for the possible insinuations that the company was offering copies of the Atlantic 21.

apparently the 40 sets of mouldings were purchased by AM  from an auction premises, and were most likely copied by an unknown 3rd party who probably realised once they had pressed them, it would be harder to sell on to the wise lifeboat modellers than they thought.

if I were AM I would go back to the auctioneers and demand my money back, give them the moulds and if they didn't play ball, threaten them with trading standards under the sale of goods act for selling copied and cloned merchandise……...the threat of a possible [but most unlikely...although frightening]fine of £500,000.00p and or up to 7 years in jail might make them see sense.

again, I am sorry to Atlantic Mouldings for implying that they were in anyway to blame for this.

I really ought to finish my original one, if only to say 'No, it's not a new build SLEC one!' when anyone asks.  :-)

I've got another original kit too, goodness knows what I should do with that.

Hi Neil, not sure if you or anyone is still reading this thread? I’ve very much enjoyed your Rescue build. I’ve acquired a part kit off eBay, but have no full size plans. Do you by any chance have the plans that you would be willing to copy and send to me, I’m more than happy to pay all costs. Also interested to know what propshaft size you used, motor, esc and battery combo. Kind regards Simon
