Perhaps I missed something, but just out of interest for me is that a de-gausing cable run round the shell near the shear strake or something else?

Really nice build.

Hi Rich

I’d have to agree with you. Looks like a de-gausing cable to me too.

Yes gents , your both correct, it is a de-gauging cable. It gave me a lot of head scratching as to how to make it.

Ian yes it's nice to have a break from modelling, it recharges the batteries. It's nice to see others building logs to get fresh incentive to restart.

You've really got this moulding technique sorted Dave, just as you did on your HMS Quorn.
Good to see  :-))

Thanks Ray, this model has been a real test of my moulding and modelling skills, sometime I could have bin the lot, but it's actually turned out not that bad.

Not that bad my 'bottom'! That is first rate modelmaking with attention to detail and use of many skill sets. Like loads of folks on this forum, you are not just making a model, but creating a miniature of the real subject. Kudos to you. The skills of our modelling elders like Tug Kenny and Radio Joe runs through your veins.

Carry on......

Been playing silent hunter 4 at weekends when the juvies have been asleep so I don't use up too much electricity (them being in the house all the time means our electricity usage is through the roof), sunk a couple of these in some of the quick missions  {-)

Wish I had time to play computer games :-))  any way we got rid of the juveniles years ago and once they had gone , electric, gas and food bills all got cheaper. However the bank of mum and dad still does take a hit. {-)

She sails very well, very stable given the tight turns.
