ww2 signal flag size

Trying to find the correct size for signal flags in 1/24th scale for ww2 model Flower class corvette size vessel they seem to be all over the place size wise any and all help much appreciated.tassie48

Hi Tassie have a look at BECC model accessories site.
They indicate 36mm for 1/24 to 1/48 scale.

Try Mike Allsop ‘Flag Man’


Can’t remember his email address off the top of my head but he has the greatest range of flags at reasonable prices made from silk. All my boats have them and they look incredible.

Have a look at https://www.flaginstitute.org/pdfs/Barrie%20Kent.pdf which is very interesting.  Less important than the size is the proportions of 5:4.

Philk yep and it is the German PA2 flak ship short forecastle deck version early war one of four the Germans found whilst over running France goes with all my other 1/24 scale boats including a SF69 flak lighter ,Eboats and a FLB German rescue vessel tassie48

Philk will start a build blog once things are ready to start the build with photos such a different ship to other Flower Class Corvettes doing one in the group build as well Tassie48
