South America 4
« on: January 27, 2018, 11:19:27 am »

At Punta Arenas the weather forecast was for 30 knot winds which I would guess was about right as we approached the port but by the time that we were docking the winds were 75 knots gusting 103 knots. With the help of the ships thrusters & 2 large tugs we got alongside but as the wind was blowing us offshore & off the moorings we left immediately. This is one of the rope handling boats. Despite the wind strength as it was offshore & sudden there was very little sea.
