Spare Parts
« on: January 29, 2018, 11:32:41 am »

In the past I had been told that getting parts for boats from individual model kit manufacturers could be quite difficult as they like you to buy full kits.
Members on this site may have other opinions.
I am trying to finish a kit of the Lowgarth but I have bits missing as I was given the kit half built so I rang Mountfleet Models and contrary to what I had been told the gentleman was very helpful and I got what I needed.
He also informed me that he supplies all the parts for the Mountfleet range and also if any parts are required buy anybody scratch building a model he is happy to supply Mountfleet parts.

I find that if you ask nicely to any of the manufacturers they will help, recently for me Dean’s Marine and Mountfleet Models have been more than helpful with spare parts. :-))

I have received spares from Victor models in the US. I think that there is a huge difference between the small owner proprietor model producers and the bigger manufacturers, especially if you have to try and deal with an importer.
