I flew to Sweden yesterday.

It was warmer when I got off the plane, than when I got on it.

God bless dear old England.

Heck.  Its just started snowing, and quite hard.
Seen it on TV lately, but I thought Windsor was exempt ?

Don’t worry it’s Thunderstorm Level High here in Akrotiri. Never seen rain like it yesterday- something you only see in those nature programmes about the monsoon!

Outside temp never got much above 0 degrees all day but our conservatory hit over 20 degrees in the sunshine. It felt a bit odd lazing in the warmth and looking at the snow outside.

Just got back to Spain after spending most of the day praying our flight would leave. Fortunate!y it was just 1 of 3 that left all day, with a lengthy delay of course, every other flight was cancelled.

Hi Colin you can come here if you want to look at snow & do it for a whole six months @ a time. Now we call it white rain it makes it more bearable ( just ). Cheers from Mick in sunny  but still frozen Canada.

When we were thinking of emigrating we were tossing up between Canada and Oz.
One of my wife's sisters (They come from sunny Mauritius) who had been studying in Montreal, came to visit and her tales of living in the snow made Australia the only choice.
Mind you we still occasionally think of suing the Australian government for false advertising.  <*<
Current ABC news:-
"Townsville had recorded 150 millimetres of rain since 9:00am on Wednesday until 5:00am today, with some places to the north recording up to 300mm."
And there has not even been a cyclone!

That's Queensland for you Brian, the Sunshine State isn't always sunny, especially in the tropics, or even on the Gold Coast for that matter.

We seem to have had a charmed life so far here in South West Surrey south east of Guildford. Just on the edge of the 'Beast from the East' and also on the edge of storm Emma so while we have had some persistent snow it has only settled for an inch or so. Yesterday when the sun was shining I was sunbathing in the conservatory in 21 degrees while the other side of the patio door it was just 1 degree. Weird feeling.

The wonders of modern glazing! Hopefully, Guildford will remain the sweet spot for a low snow couple of days.
