Just another idea for you I’ve used crushable copper washers on my fittings which make lining it all up very easy except for the safety valve as this has an O ring as that’s how I fill the boiler by removing the valve

Hello;
Yes a good idea and those that I retained for my boilers? copper washers or aluminum under the implantations not requiring a disassembly accident, and seal or under the filling cap which is also the safety valve, which allows to control its operation with each filling.

Bonjour,
Other option, teflon tape for an accurate positioning and thread sealant like Loctite 542 for accessories that should not be disassembled usually, example water level.

thank you guys. this has given me a host of options. I will probably go with Teflon tape or copper washers.

The best washers are tripple folded copper crush washers, the only place I can find them is Maccmodels in the UK. Do not use fibre washers - they are good but if there is a slight leak they get wet and are destroyed very quickly. I also use low strength loctite on fittings which rarely require removal. If you can machine a recess in the bush or fitting then O rings are even better.
