Pure coincidence, dear boy - but we aim to please.  8)
BTW the ACTion one can be fed through a P97 or P101 amp if you need a bigger sound. I believe there will be a special offer on these amps very shortly.

I use the Technobots sound generators  . .
good sound and low cost - ISTR they are Alan Bond designs.

That's the very man, John. I've handled a couple of his units now, including an engine sound one, and they are first-class. I'm not sure, however, if the new one will do a single-cylinder diesel (PUT, PUT) sound. You can contact him via the Forge Electronics website as I think he either has or is in the process of severing his ties with Technobots due to their moving.

Hi Dave, I visited his website and he says he has discontinued the separate sound units
And is concentrating on the multi sound unit.
You can scroll down the page and there are 10 sounds you can listen to, I think no6 or
No 7 sound would be the ones and the volume depends on the voltage supplying it.up to 12v
And the revs are adjustable and speed up through the throttle control.

Then go for it, m'duck. V6 sounds great. He who hesitates only invites further confusion.....and if you follow my recent posts you'll find out how easy it is to vary the supply voltage - both up and down.

Just to add to the PUT PUT query, one of the Combo MK3 ''voices" is my take on a typical canal boat engine. Set to 6 cylinders it only fires twice in quick succession then pauses for 4 beats - with appropriately set tickover and top speed that should be what you're looking for. Thanks as always to DM for the recommendation!
