Hi All
A bit busy with all these 22 boats and our first model boat show at the weekend as well !!!
Very windy and rainy weekend, so the show had a good turn out!!!
This weekend I run the Veron Thames River Police Launch which fun.
Not a lot of speed and the motor sound a bit off, so I have replaced with one out of the box of bits.
All the radios have been binned, the batteries left in the transmitters !!!
A total mess inside.
Eight of the servos work and the sail winch servo sold.
The Sea Queen, one black tug hull and the white tug hull sold.
Already got my money back !!!
A once in a life time score !!!

As the test tank had sprung a leak I felt it was time to get a new one,  I found one in Argos at £18.00 (365/3351)
L 211 x W120 x D40cm holds 400 litres.

A Creality 3D Ender 3 V2 3D printer and 2kg of filament.
And a free "for private use" download of Fusion 360
Now I'll have fun for many hours
BTW first upgrade has also been bought, a PEI magnetic build plate, don't want to play with hairspray and glue sticks.

I gave up on magnetic build plates on my printers!  They always pulled up with the print!!  Glass bed or just what it is and 3Dlac just whatever it is works WAY better than hair spray, tape, glue sticks!!!!  Each to their own and experiences with it though.

Welcome to 3D, one of the most infuriating things to do but very satisfying when it works out!

I have learned that there are many ways to reach the goal of the "perfect" 3D print, if that will ever be achieved  ;)
We have 2 Ender 3 V2's running at the company and they are using PEI plates, that's why I after a few c... prints just ordered  a PEI plate and it solved my problems.
It comes with a special Ender glass bed but the co-planarity of it is "Biiiiiiip" and that's what coursed my problems.
Next step is to do my own designs, that will be a challenges as the last time I did that was in 1992.

Yea no worries Tica. YouTube is full of how good a magnetic base is but I got rid of mine. We all have such different printers.  I'm only just starting out with my flashforge and it works perfect out of the box but costs a bit more than the prev. two put together so so it should!

I've yet to find the elusive 365 licence for legitimately free though.  Any pointers? Everything so far to terms I can't accept.

I bought this smaller scale Raboesch bumper for the stern of Stevn's
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/283353793424

Less than half the size of the bow bumper

The bumper strip went straight into stock, not what I thought and far too small.

Meanwhile I've placed an offer on a 50 yr old unbuilt kit. If I win I'll let you know what it is  O0

Billing boats Mercantic.

I made a tight offer as I've been bitten before by warped and delaminated wood.

A good buy for anyone prepared to risk it. Billing will never produce it again for sure

A portable air conditioner (it's not that portable actually)!  While I'm looking after my mother the only space for me to work / tinker is the conservatory. Last week it was 44 degrees. My works laptop was too hot to touch, melted the plastic cutting mat underneath and several bits of plastic and part of a model behind the outlet fan on the table behind.  Have tried to buy one when it's summer before and no stock anywhere. Collected it Friday when I got home to my own house and it's now properly cold and I've got the heating on and huddled over an oil filled radiator in my converted office!  I'm considering it an investment.

...think I saw that mercantic on eBay. I didn't fancy the challenge going by the pics!

Can't identify the vessel from your photo Martin but the mast array looks familiar - hmmm.
