Just received this weeks purchase. An unused and as new Futaba T6K transmitter and receiver set, at about half of its current shop price, courtesy of Ebay. Finally decided to go completely 2.4ghz, so some of my older 40mhz gear looks like it might see Ebay in the very near future.
Surprised when I had a sort out, just how much of the 40mhz stuff that I still had. Seems quite strange when trying it out to be waving a big long telescopic aerial around when it used to be the norm. How quickly we get used to the newer stuff, the T6K having no visible Tx aerial at all, it being routed inside the handle moulded into the case. Also , it has so many pre-programmed modes ( as it is meant for aircraft/drone use) that the handbook that comes with it is this size of a Dickens tome. Unfortunately, most of it wasted on a yachtie.
