Well I ordered my new bike for March delivery, then the news came on about energy and interest rates going up!  {:-{   So it was either cancel the bike or turn the boiler off, boiler it is....

Hope the boiler is happy with that, but a bike in spring sure beats a boiler

Nice one. I bought a new one last year but didn't put many miles on it. Looking forward to spring and salt free roads.

Just bought a new action cam, mainly for use on my bike but will also be mounted to some of my planes and might fit some of my boats. Its an Insta360 ONE X2 which gives a full 360 degrees video in all directions so it appears to be at the center of a sphere. The editing software will remove the mount as long as it is not too large so it appears that the camera is hanging in mid air without any support. The image is gyro stabilised and will lock onto the horizon regardless of the camera orientation with a lot of editing possibilities if you fancy some arty videos. It is claimed to be waterproof to 10 meters so should be OK if it gets wet in use.I ws looking for a camera that will take the surrounding scenery when my attention has to be on the road not around me, am looking to be riding a number of Alpine passes this summer.

To check out the Insta360 cam I mounted it on the roof of a Traxxax 1/8 scale Land Rover Defender and took it for a walk around some local woods. This is a short section from the start of the walk.https://youtu.be/9Xnx39Fk0-I
If watching it on a PC then you can move the viewpoint around using your mouse or if using a smartphone or tablet then turning them will  ove it around. The files it produces are quite large, just over 1 minute of video took up around 1.7 GB so large SD cards are a good idea, I have a 128 GB fitted and 2 256 GB cards spare to allow for plenty of recording.

I bought a steel security access door for my mothers garage and tomorrow having a survey for a roller shutter.

I ordered from these
https://www.lathamssteeldoors.co.uk/security-garage-doors/security-garage-side-door/

EDIT
Roller shutter surveyed and priced at £895 installed. That is well under half the price that Excel shutters charge at £1802 plus VAT  <*<

I bought four new tyres for my car and had them fitted (obviously). Had a few quid left out of 500, but it does feel better to drive than it did.

Hi All,

Well, I'm now in the process of moving over to LiPo batteries and as such went ahead and bought this little lot from Component Shop.

I know very little about these things and so I ordered up over the phone. After a couple of chats with Kyje and Jason, who were extremely helpful, I now feel confident enough to deal with these batteries.

Anyway, here's what I bought to get started and I'll add bits and pieces as we go...

so, here's a photo of what I got.

Ray.

A corner Microwave.  Is this so you don't have to waste time leaving the workshop to eat, or a more cunning plan..?

After reading that on some phones that the wot sap app wouldn't work after a date, decided to check if my late better half's Huwie was one. Took it out of its protective cover to find the back (adhesive sealed) was pushed off due to the bulging Li-on cell. Ordered a new cell via the 'Flee' Friday morning with an expected delivery of 10th. It arrived less than 24hrs later delivered by Evri., and about 5mins to replace. Warning e-mail to say parcel passed to local deliverer arrived about a minute before doorbell rang.

Back on air fryers.  Not having any experience of using them can I ask how much in the way of cooking smells do they punch out during use or do they contain it ?

Hardly noticeable at all considering  the fan is Venting into the room. What is noticeable is the amount of gunge some sausages and burgers drop which you would have eaten yet everything is still moist.
