I was a bit miffed when one of my 200mm Irwin bar-clamps let go when I was using my router and spoiled the DIY job I was working on. They look good quality but the serrations on the bar seem to be "smoothing" off despite  little use - I'm guessing the bar wasn't hardened properly. An internet search suggested that Bessey (made in Germany) are good quality and having ordered two found that indeed they are. So ordered a couple of smaller ones as well.

On the boating front have ordered a Raboesch maintenance free prop shaft from Cornwall Model Boats and an Overlander motor for my current build of a Huntsman 31 Sport.

Sure it is.  5 quarts of oil and a filter for each car are THINGS.  Maybe not the labor part. O0 :-))

Was planting up some runner bean seeds and decided to buy another variety to add choice . Went to garden centre who are open as they sell fresh veg as well. ---Nothing, {:-{  totally cleaned out of all veg seed. Went on line, main stockists all sold out , on e-bay plenty of seed but the b******s had bought all the seed up and are selling it for 5-6 seeds at the price a 25 seed packet normally costs , may their ********es fester.  <*<

We got a K2 last year, adequate for what we use if for, washing down the yard at the start and end of each year, it's amazing how much grime accumulates over a couple of months, next door (who doesn't seem to know what social distancing is  >>:-(  ) is having his back wall repointed at some point, so will need to wash the yard down again after they finish.

I bought a towbar for the car, a Nissan Qashqai, from Witter. I spent several hours preparing the car for installation (bumper off, dozens of plastic clips) and finally reached the stage where I could join the parts. I had an awful time trying to bolt things together, but got there in the end. This is the third time I've done this (the Nissan Note and Honda Jazz were mechanically much easier). Next time? I'll pay someone else. I'm covered in scratches, my muscles ache, and I can barely move this morning.  <:(

{-) The frustrating thing is, the tow bar's to tow my boat, the weather's perfect for sailing up here this week, and I can't take it anywhere. Sailing is not allowed as exercise.

Oh well. Portgarth arrives shortly. I'll lock myself in my shed and look at it (Winter project) while doing some clinker dinghy commissions.

I am really very lucky to have a large ironmongers across the road from me. Very well organised for distancing (CoViD)
I was desperate for sandpaper and between that and the cutting spray I spent £20 . Far cheaper than many other outlets.

My Mountfleet Sealight arrived earlier in the week and I have just ordered all the extras from Component Shop (Electrics), Cornwall (UJ and inserts) and DeLux Materials (all the glue and Epoxy I normally buy locally)

I agree Martin. I built the Highlander about 7 years ago and it is still my favourite from my collection. A couple of months or so ago a member posted a link to a collection of Puffer pictures, which has given me some thoughts for slight customisation and hence the purchase of another puffer.
