Me too
Aliphatic almost run out but I’ve recently tried D4 in a huge bottle for peanuts at local ironmonger. I think the Aliphatic grabs faster but under clamps don’t think it matters and the D1 is waterproof too

I've been a lucky lad and this little baby turned up from the states this week.  I've been saving for absolutely ages to get this thickness sander and its a lovely bit of kit.  Its all part of my retirement plan which is only 16 years away  {-)   I've been wanting one of these for 4 years now so its been a long time coming  :-))   Probably some of the best build quality I've seen.

Cheers Andy - its all part of a bigger plan.  I really want to move away from building kits and start scratch building from plans.  Well thats the plan anyway  ok2

I imagined the tubes to be more flexible so limited success and works better with the help of a good paint brush. The main advantage is you can use full force vacuum without sucking up small wanted parts  :-))

Hi All
Pick up a 38 and 1/2" tug boat for $30au no running gear.
Unfinished boat with no rudder and the wheelhouse is made of 3/16" plywood.
A good starter for the winter project list.

I used to build lots of trucks too - with the Lego wireless control.  I preferred 6x6 chassis because the steering axle is always the most difficult to build with good ground clearance and high strength.   I also used the little Lego compressor to give air suspension assist to the standard springs.

Just got the Billings Hoga tug kit off Stan. A very nice plank on frame build that can be enhanced with lots of detail not shown by Billings. A nice job for next winter  :-))

M.O.T's x 2
Wife's car on Monday. Brake lamp out  :embarrassed:  Dave put a lamp in free of charge and passed  :-))
Motorhome today, rear fog lamp out  :embarrassed:  Advised to fit one asap but passed  :-))

This is why I've used my garage that is quite a considerable distance away but in 15 tests they all passed. They don't fail to make more money like some  8)

Whilst not modelling related...

Had an enjoyable day at the NEC looking at old cars and hoping to catch a glimpse of another MG ZA but no Magnettes.
Got some nice headline material for my MG at a fantastic price and a book on tuning a ZA Magnette. Some parts I had to put back due to silly prices being asked- an original MG ZA slave clutch cylinder for £90 but reconditioned ones are £55.
However I did get to meet Mike Brewer from Wheeler Dealers and see the latest car they have restored- a Citroen SM- whilst not my favourite car of all time it was in a fantastic condition. I also got to meet one of my car restoration heroes- Fuzz Townshend- he gave me the inspiration that if he could restore a BMW 2002 Turbo that looked like a colander on Car SOS I could weld up my MG myself.  A thoroughly nice chap and very informative on the barn finds part of the show. The Macari Peerless got my vote for restoration- weirdness beyond beauty!
