I've been getting a bit ahead of myself and just purchased the finishing resin, cloth and rollers for my build.  I've decided to try a different brand from my usual Z-Poxy and have opted for Bucks Composites resin.  It gives a 45 minute pot time which is a lot longer than Z-Poxy so I'm hoping it will take the pressure off a bit when laying the cloth.

The only thing is Graham who runs the company explained to me that this resin will bloom if used as a clear coat when immersed in water.  This shouldn't be a problem for me as I intended to give the resin a coat of matt clear coat as I don't want a gloss finish.  If anyone has used this product it would be great to hear from you.

Is the Huntsman ready to go or does it need some work? I'm assuming it's a Huntsman 31, what size have you got?

Chris

It has a brushless motor, water cooled ESC, steering servo,prop/prop shaft and some lights wired up. I will need to
check it all out, then install battery and Rx.
It is around 31 inches in length.

Mercedes CLS!

....3rd owner and it's a 2008 model though!  RIP 16 year old Volvo but in the last week my new 3L turbo seems to return the same economy as your 1.8 Petrol!

Picked up a deivery from Howes from my folks house today as I'm working away from home "close" by.  Bit bemused when I saw the fedex "box" when I expected an A5 jiffy bag!  Howes sent me 2 Exmitter TX/RX kits rather than 2 Exmitter RX!  So I could have kept quiet, but my conscience would have bothered me and I've just E-Mailed them to ask what to do as it might be a while before we can exchange.  I've only paid for the receivers.

Suppose I should have kept shtum and ebayed them to help pay for the new car!  I bet allot of folk would have just done that and slept easy.  I couldn't do that (and I don't need another 2 TX's as I alredy have 2).

CMB 91 M-Line showed up today. What gets me is that even after paying import tax, it's still £200 cheaper to buy this from Australia than it is direct from the factory in Italy, or from a supplier in this country %)
Unfortunately unlike Taranis I didn't get sent two accidentally...

Arg .....Germany.  I've had so much hassle personally and professionally with German suppliers this past year.  I thought they were supposed to be efficient and punctual.  Nothing of the sort.  They continue to be just a pain in the proverbial derriere to deal with.  I'm talking everything from a £100 personal order (impossible as they won't take a card, or when they do they won't give a receipt!), to  250-400k EUR PO I'm trying to place at work at the moment.

Andyn: I did dabble in nitro briefly in cars.  I upgraded everything and nothing worked the same after so I stick to Electric ever since!  I do always admire the engineering and skill in running notro or small gas engines though!

Two tins of Humbrol enamel, one bottle Humbrol Laquer and a chicken kebab from a well known supermarket as I needed the wooden skewer to use as a piece of doweling.

That's the newest version of the engine that was in the orange Thunder I ran at Wicksteed this year. Out the box 7 horsepower at 27,000rpm. Boat to put it in is currently sitting in customs in Coventry  <*<

Masking tape and Halfords Grey primer today but I have bought recently some 3D printed anchor chain for my HMS Invincible, and some props from Prop Shop for HMS Albatross.
Next weekend may prove to be quite expensive as I have several things to order and collect from Warwick!
Including a C-class submarine from Mountfleet Models and some ordering via Simon for a specialised propeller for a project that will be seen at Warwick.

I’m sure one day it will come into its own.

That Milwaukee looks like a useful saw. Been meaning to get myself a set of pin vices, though I don't need them just yet with my builds.

Alclad chrome paint.  And Alclad Stainless Steel paint, along with their gloss black undercoat.  For my current build, which has long dry exhaust pipes coming off the twin diesel engines.  Gonna try both on samples of the ¼" styrene tubing that will be the exhaust pipes.
