Nice.  I have one that is a combination belt and disc sander.  Made by Grizzly in Washington State.

Shipping cost might kill the deal. Even within USA costs have gotten outrageous as reported by JB . I won't know until next week what the total cost will be if I go ahead.

Meanwhile I found the cheapest UK delivered price of another Proxxon @ £169

Wow I've heard of measure twice and cut once but now you can truly save time and do both at the same time!  LoL

Milwaukee tools as well, always liked them!

Not boat related but still a necessity  O0

A new oven and a new toaster, the later which blew the house electrics when swimbo tried toasting some fruit loaf (not the malted type), the former had its forced air oven setting fail which meant it took at least half again in time to cook stuff, not really a problem but swimbo was not happy. Its an upgraded version of the same oven we just replaced but without the knobs you find on most - I have a distinct hatred of the type of oven controls where the dial pushes into the bodywork, for a high class NEFF for example the knobs are rectangle-ish and only recess vertically, so I can see that it wouldn't take much to damage them in the future, the others have circular knobs either chromed or plain black, neither could be used if greasy fingers tried to grab them and then the build up grease and other nasties over time, pushing them in would again be forgotten about after a short time so a pointless feature, so this Hotpoint has a touch screen panel - just my opinion

In my copy of the Sunday Times yesterday there was a £5 off voucher for Robert Dyas, (A chain of Ironmongers in London and the South of England). So off I went to my local branch this morning to check out all their 'modelling appropriate' tools, and bought a Black and Decker Laser Level, as I have one of my least favourite tasks coming up, establishing the waterline. Yes, sure, I could have just gone on Amazon for a wider choice, and also cheaper, but I believe in supporting the decent shops on my local high street.

Cheers,

Mike

Two MFA385 11:1 geared motors plus lots of pulleys & collars etc. to make up the running gear for my Bilsdale paddler.

Nice little units and delivered within 48 hours from Component Shop.

A new PIR floodlight - though I did by what I thought was one from home & bargain that was just a floodlight before realizing it - doh

I also had to get an inline connector to wire its cable to the line from inside the house as they appear to now come with a short lead attached, or I opened the last one to discard this and wire it direct, that long ago I cannot remember.

Expecting tomorrow two bottles of 70 cl Midori melon liqueur, mix with lemonade and its a nice refreshing drink, the wife was surprised when I told her that a Lidl brand version of peach snappes was about £5 - archers retails at about £15 for a similar sized bottle.

(I still have 3 bottles of Heiniken from a 20 pack that went out of date two months ago - that is not bad for me - it's usually half the case)  :-)

I bought these used filing cabinets of a guy in Canberra. He’d got loads of different types. These were the best to suit the space under my work bench. I found some unused envelopes behind one of the drawers with Parliament, Ministry of Finance on the header. Really good quality too. Not bad for $25 each.

Especially as it could fry the receiver - or the servos - or the fuses, trying to bring back an old boat back to life is so hard if you cannot find the fault in the wiring.  %)

I sold my 2012 Honda CBR250RA for $500 more than I paid for it 3 years ago, then I bought this and a shed load of tools for it and my mini lathe from Ausee Machine Tools in Melbourne,

I went ape sh*t on the tools!
Then I bought a Stuart compound Twin Launch Engine Castings Kit. All jetting towards me in Queanbeyan courtesy of TNT. Arriving Monday.
Finally some odds and sods from Blackgates Engineering which will usually take about three weeks.
I’m so excited.
