You did well to do all those in a couple of days. Nice job.

I'd be interested to hear what you think of it after a week or two. My wife got an iPhone 12 a couple of months ago, I am still hanging on to my SE after 5 1/2 years. No point in wasting spending my hard-earned modelling money on phones until necessary, but that time is coming for a replacement, unfortunately.

My elder daughter paid over £1000.00 for a new iPhone 11 pro when they first came out, only to have have it snatched from her hand in Vietnam a few weeks later. At least she's moved back here now!

Which is presumably no longer receiving security updates. OK if you don't keep anything important on it.

My SE? Definitely still receiving security and other updates. Probably more up to date than my wife's 12.

I doubt any other manufacturer supports their previous models as long as Apple do and every app that is accepted by apple has to be updated to the new iOS by its creators or they're in trouble

Now that is one hell of a tool box, bet the original owner made some masterpieces, somehow I don't think he was a modeler though.

This photo came up on a recomended facebook group page. Its the toolcabinet frm a shipfinisher, basically a cabinetmaker who specialised in the internal finishing of ships. These were often made as an advertisement for the worker as a future employer wouldn't be able to see their finished work as it would be at sea.

  Looks remarkably like an old school Cabinet makers toolbox to me especially the spokeshave's concave and convex. No good to today's alleged Tradesmen (or women, PC) its no use unless to them unless it has a trigger i.e. Makita etc.

Just received this weeks purchase. An unused and as new Futaba T6K transmitter and receiver set, at about half of its current shop price, courtesy of Ebay.  Finally decided to go completely 2.4ghz, so some of my older 40mhz gear looks like it might see Ebay in the very near future.

 Surprised when I had a sort out, just how much of the 40mhz stuff that I still had.  Seems quite strange when trying it out to be waving a big long telescopic aerial around when it used to be the norm.  How quickly we get used to the newer stuff, the T6K having no visible Tx aerial at all, it being routed inside the handle moulded into the case. Also , it has so many pre-programmed modes ( as it is meant for aircraft/drone use) that the handbook that comes with it is this size of a Dickens tome. Unfortunately, most of it wasted on a yachtie. :}
