Contact for Bill Dickinson of Marbeth Designs
« on: October 04, 2007, 11:47:35 am »

I am trying to contact Bill Dickinson of Marbeth Designs. He drafted several of the warship drawings currently published through Marine Modelling International magazine. I've googled him and found a few email addresses, but not had any response from them. Does anybody have any contact details for him?

Thanks, Peter.

Hi Guys,

I thought I bring this old post up again, since I would also get in touch and have trouble finding a contact or, indeed, a supplyer.
Is Bill Dickenson still araound?

I noticed that some MARBETH DESIGNS plans are on offer or come with kits, but the one I am looking for is not among them.

So, would anyone know who has the master copies / copyright of the work by Bill should he have passed? Alternatively, would anyone know if he is contactible?

Thanks!

Toby, I believe you can still get the Leeds Castle Plans in both 1/96th and 1/72nd from Cornwall Model Boats, despite the demise of Traplet Publications. I very recently got Bill Dickinsons HMS Exeter plans from them.

Nige thanks for the info. I have had a look around and note that  Jacobin have plans for sale in various scales. They will produce a 1:48 plan but this is just an enlargement from there original 1:192 scale. Generally I think they usually issue 1:192, 1:96, 1:72.  I will see what plans CMB offer.

I have just looked on the CMB website and they do have Leeds Castle at 1:72 and 1:96 plans. I could always by the 1:96 and double everything.

How is your build progressing?
