Here is a pic of the rear companionway entry.
Also the Mast Boots -
Since the masts will "fold over" to get access to the
interior of the hull, the pivot points needed to line up right.
When all was painted, I added a layer of epoxy to add strength.
Finally, here is the rough placement on deck.
More to come,Thanks for reading,Jim

Not quite ready to start planking.
Still finishing up the little bits.
Also took the time to pre-make some grating.

OK, I'll admit it.
I did not cut each individual piece.
I got the Gratings/grills from my favorite place.

So - Time to plank the deck.
At 1:24  a typical 15ft plank comes out to 7.5 inches.

I needed to figure out how to plank with something that
resembled the caulking used.

I chose to "pre-finish" the planks by applying a marker toone side and one end of the the planks after cutting and sanding.
Then just to make sure that the marker would not bleed, I
did a sample and added two coats of finish.(Actually I did that first)
Here are pics.

Thats a nice sample of decking there Jim, the marker pen idea looks just about spot on.  I think I'll nick this idea for my build

Bonjour Jim,
I would kindly suggest to test this process with varnish because I'm afraid that said varnish does drool pen ink, which would be a shame.
On this example, for his deck, my friend Didier used ebony chopsticks : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hpixv_CHZT4 and another friend used black baper for a thinner dest.

You need to be very careful when cutting or sanding ebony wood as the dust is very harmful.  Its not a wood that I would want to use inside my home where I build my boats.

I've started using archival pens for marking out wood as the ink only bleeds very slightly into the wood grain.  Its also ok to varnish over but epoxy resin is even better.  I've had very good results using these pens  :-))

Here is the pen I found. If you read the small print on the barrel youcan see where it says it will stand up to 500 deg F.
So I figured it should be able to take anything I subject it to.
Thanks for reading.

Bonjour Raphael.....

Could you please confirm what the builder is talking about from 4:25 minutes into 5:00 minutes in the video?

I try to understand it is the strength of the vessel bow stempost, however am not sure of the translation

Bonjour Derek,
I do not understand "bow vessel stempost"  :D

Didier explains us that the bow is doubled by a soft "band" made of lead that starts at the waterline and goes to the back of the boat. This band weighs the boat down, which is good for the center of gravity and protects its keel from small shocks.
Did I answer to your question ?

Yes, with your help, I now understand Didiers words describing the lower part of the bow stem post is doubled by a soft "band" made of lead that starts at the waterline and goes to the back of the boat O0
