joys of the Clyde

I took my daughter up to the offices of a famous Scottish ferry company today for an informal first chat and to deliver her cv........and then we spent the rest of a beautiful sunny day [ not a cloud in the sky except over Aran] watching shipping go by, and i'll post some pics of those later, but this little one really got me enthralled, and I remembered those members who have been challenged with weed on their sailing waters.........

this little vessel spends all her working days fishing out weed, debris and large tree trunks from the middle reaches of the River Clyde......would make a great club model at 1/3 scale to clear club lake weed.

couldn't work out what propulsion she had except for the aux outboard, but she turned on a sixpence and very enjoyable to watch her beaver away.

and then she'd drop them on the far bank at low water, for high tide to wash them off again..............it keeps the guys in a job, at least.
