Well what a brilliant three days
First thanks to the organisers for sorting out the show again, there were some real quality model boats on show, and to buy- I know I’ve bought a ferry (that went around the hall very quick!)
Congrats to King Lear, LBES and Bournville for 1,2 and 3 respectively. Some real effort had gone into the stands.
Loved playing with Klunk planting googley eyes and chattererimg teeth on Steam Boat Phil’s Stand!
Had a sail this year with John and Carl and the other ferry guys on two days- I think we managed to recreate Harwich effectively.
Great to meet Colin Bishop and Martyn Chorlton collecting photos and information for the show report- had a real good chat with both and enjoyed discussing my Invincible with Colin- glad you like her Colin
Today Geoff Dixon and I had our twice yearly chat to compare notes regarding our Invincible’s. Love Geoff’s torpedo net booms.
It was a shame Deans Marine was here this year but the big news for traders was that Prop Shop is back under Simon Higgins management and name. I think I have bought the smallest props I have ever seen and then told that they do 8mm diameter versions! My 12mm ones were tiny but 8mm !!!
Hope next year (even though it’s only two days) is just as good if not better- hopefully with my future job being hopefully confirmed this week will mean that I can get to other shows too.
