What Flag?

unbuiltnautilus:
Government Service Ensign. The RFA flag has the anchor pointy bit downward!

tonyH:
It's quite possible that the Government Service Ensign was the one to use but I felt that since the RCNC was founded in 1883 and the trials took place in 1884 it was possible, in the lack of definite evidence and the variations that seem to arise that the special is warranted. The crest is legitimate and the blue would be a serious option so........ ok2
PS The flag looks sharper in real life than the pic.
Hopefully, she'll be at Wickie if I can get the multi temperature soldering to stay together!

dodes:
Have a feeling that the Government service flag, (usually flown by vessels chartered by the Mod) used to be the old Port Auxiliary ensign, prior to the service being absorbed by the R.M.A.S..

Xtian29:
Hello Dodes, what is the meaning of the one you use as avatar ?

dodes:
Found this old pic of mine, the flag changed as she was commissioned by then just, but she still had a port of registration painted on her for a while.
