There were big crowds at the dawn services around our area too, it's great to see so many people honouring those who served in the armed forces.

The streets are now bare...few cars on the road.......you could hear a poppy frond or pod drop to the ground..the only sound as I type is the cry of a child...........

Lest we forget

remember taking the school kids across the road to the War Memorial at Canberra national museum from Campbell High School for the Service of Remembrance, many moons ago............A very reflective time and moment in my life, the two years I attended, and every one of the kids showed reverence and respect to the occasion. <:(   RIP, those brave and gallant Australian and New Zealand soldiers

as it should be, I am glad to say O0

If you have not been then go to WLG to see the exhibitions at Te Papa (https://www.tepapa.govt.nz/visit/exhibitions/gallipoli-scale-our-war) and then over town to the National War Memorial to see https://www.greatwarexhibition.nz

Both are well worth viewing.
