The way the weather has been batting backwards and forwards I believe he is just keeping his options open  {-)

We've had our lake frozen over, three weeks later it was sunny and warm.  Then another cold spell, loads of rain, but it was a delightful day for sailing today.

British weather is like the Thunderbirds intro. "Anything can happen in the next half hour!"

The week after Whit 1975 - on a holiday in Berwick, six inches of snow on the Sunday.  I think that the Lancs v Derby county cricket match was snowed off that day.  Come the Wednesday, you could fry eggs on the pavement and it was the start of the summer of '75, only beaten by the summer of '76.
