Hi

Can anyone recommend a supplier (ideally online) of tiny brass wood screws?

Thanks

Ah, I'm used to real boats so perhaps my definition of tiny is different to yours  ;)

I'm looking for replacements for an old model I'm restoring. They are about 5mm long and the heads are about 2mm diameter. The ones on the boat are about 80 years old, so I don't know what standard they would have been.

Thanks

Hi,

how about the screws used to secure tunning machine heads on guitars, these are about 10mm long and 2mm dia.

Have a look at the WDmusic site  www.wdmusic.co.uk

Hobbies www.alwayshobbies.com do brass countersunk screws size 1 x1/4" ref BSC11 for 12

Hooby's www.hobby.uk.com also do them ref 12019 for 20

Squires 01243842424  do size 2 x 1/4" ref 190-011 for 10 or 190-534 for 100. Squires have no p&p but a minimum £10 order.

Phil,

There was a guy at Ellesmere (Epic) who had some really tiny brass countersunk screws. His stand was next to Mr "Action" Man. (like that Dave ?)  Cant recall his trading name for now but someone (maybe FLJ) who was there will know.

Terry.

Hi Philsy,

Try Squires tele 01243 842424 page 401 of their catalogue shows C/S brass wood screw No2 1/4" & 3/8" these might well do.

One problem is a minimum order value of £10. Might I suggest therefore you ask them to send you a Catalogue (this is FREE) have a read and see if there is anything else you mght need.

I am sure most people on here would reccomend you obtain this catalogue anyway.
