New Brighton

is anything going off at New Brighton lake this weekend...…...Got the day off for my birthday.........got one of my lifeboats ready to sail,and ready to launch...………


 and hopefully its going to remain sunny and my daughter fancies shopping in Liverpool.........….anyone going to be around either day for a sail.

decided to go down tomorrow as my impending trip to Greenock tomorrow has been cancelled...…….so it looks as though it'll be a billy no mates sail at New Brighton……….


Ahh well at least I won't crash into anything or anyone but the bank and the lighthouse in the middle of the lake lol. {-) %% :embarrassed:



be my first sail in over a year...…...bit out of practice, {:-{ <:( 


just worked out it was two years since I made a complete ass of myself with Jupiter at Southport……….really am out of practice. <:( {:-{

unfortunately today it wasn't a sunny day...………….in fact after leaving sunny Fleetwood, the weather got worse and worse...……….and much worse, the nearer I got...……….only dry spot was the Queensway tunnel...…….there were two brave sailors there, but one left loon after I got there, and the other gent stayed and we chatted.


I sailed the boat from my boot, but didn't get the camera out till i'd packed the boat away...…...last time I sailed it there it rained...…...must be jinxed.


And then I went to a dryer Albert Dock complex where I found a Tamar...……………...I know, I know what a Tamar looks like,  ...……..but not one like this!!!

looked a tad wet old friend...…………..mind you, aren't lifeboats supposed to get wet, you wimp. {-)

It was, so went to the Costa; nice sunny and warm to-day though.
