Broadland Classics?
« on: June 04, 2018, 07:03:31 pm »

Does anyone know what happened to Broadland Classics?

They had a proposed range of very comprehensive, obviously, Broadland boat kits in 1:18 scale that looked very promising, but their web site 404s and nothing seems to have been posted beyond late 2016.

Unfortunately, the proposal proved too much and they decided to pull the plug before it really began to affect their health.

It was a very small husband and wife company and I understand that other matters in their lives dictated that Broadland Classics be shelved for the foreseeable.  A great shame as they were looking at some lovely subjects.

I was very lucky to have managed to secure an example of their Japonica kit - which will be built one day!

Thanks for that CT, as you say a great pity.

I've seen the 1:1 scale Japonica more than once on numerous Broads holidays, and a model version would have been terrific.
