Plan search
« on: October 24, 2018, 02:41:40 am »

Hi all! Back in the late 80's early 90's I purchased a set of Tug plans with aproxamatly 5-7 sheets. it was extreemly detailed and it was purchased by Taubman plans service. For example the cross section thru the length showed all of the wood beams sub assys. etc. s bit like the picture of the keel on the right of the picture and looked like this Tug. Would anyone have a clue what plan this was as my exxxx wife misplaced them. Thank you for your time!

Hullo Mike.......

From the size of the funnel, it would suggest the model was based on a steam powered vessel

Neither of the elevation sections through the bow that you show are from or follow the line shape of the bow in the model Tug you show

From 7 sheets of plan detail, was there no reference to the name of the vessel?

I did check Taubman on line and none of them fit. The tug was a steam model and I want to say it was made aproxametly 1909 possibly 5 years earlier. Mabey I should look to see if I can locate a catalog of that period.
