ANOTHER BOAT BOUGHT...
« on: July 14, 2018, 11:56:32 pm »

Last time my wife was away I bought a bath tub...er 1/6 scale fibreglass Us seal insertion boat...yes the one that was 6ft long  :embarrassed:

Now, she has gone away to go and see her brother...so what do I do...yep, bought another boat.

This time I got some smaller  :-)

Some of you know the Hobby ready to run jobbies, they retail around £150ish, I found one on Ebay that was local to be, no transmitter or battery but managed to get it for £40.

So, managed to get the deck off, stripped out the innards and replaced the speed controller, receiver etc and she is now on 2.4G. I already had all the gear spare so it has just cost me £40.

So, when weathered and rusted she will great to chuck on the water and have some fun.

My models are not nice, clean and ship-shape. They be mucky, grubby, rusty and smelly.
