Hi Martin it's John V just had gear box to bits on my dickie amphibious vehicle and found the small plastic gear that drives wheels had broke in half .The one on the end of the electric motor is brass the one for the propeller is brass .And the most important one is plastic .That's why thay it's. Not driving wheels .That's the fault with them job sorted cheers John V

Hi remove the four screws that hold cover for gear box .Life out axel .take note what way it is remove the four screws.that hold gears .And take note on how that came out .I found it was the small gear that had broke on the electric motor there is a brass gear on the prop there is a brass gear but the one that needs to be brass is plastic drive gear .That's the problem with them .Have you still got the small plastic gear that's broke if you have .Some times you can glue the two halves together useing a good supper glue but you can buy a brass one that holds on to shaft with grub screw but make sure you get the one with the right amount of teeth cheers John V

Hi it's John V againe you can get the small brass gear it's called a motor pinion that hold on with a small grub screw it replaces the plastic one but like I said make sure it has the right amount of teeth and same diameter hole in middle you can get on eBay cheers John V
