Old model car
« on: August 03, 2018, 06:33:13 pm »

Got this the other day delivered from an old friend. He thought it was a boat till he picked it up and realised it was a car. I must have a sign over my door saying .  Bring your old models here.
It has steering on the front wheels Suspension and  a differential on the rear wheels. The motor has been removed where the driver would sit with bits of broken plastic parts in there

It looks like an FG or similar clone, 1\6th or 1\5th F1 car. FG originally made them for a 23cc fueled engine although have supplied them in electric format for maybe 5 years?

Think it was electric powered but haven't really looked at it yet. Tyres are plastic so  they won't last long. Its on the back boiler for sometime, boat to build first

I'd like to see that go with a 23cc engine, before it disappears over the horizon!

Hi Dave  :-))
I doubt it I've got too much boat building to do. Just that I didn't want to offend the old guy that gave me it.
Anyway plastic tyres would last long with an engine like that.
Cheers

Andyn
The sizes are 4 feet long x 18 inches wide x 10 inches high.

Wonder how well it would do in the down hill soap box runs with slight mods
