Planet T5 Manual
« on: July 27, 2018, 01:19:17 pm »

I'm looking for a manual for the Planet T5.

The links I've found are no longer active.

Specifically I'm looking for the binding and RX fault (flashing led) meanings.

Thanks
Dave

Back again....

Thanks for all your help so far.
This T5 is not mine but been asked to see if I can get it working.

It refused  to bind to known good RX.

So I put together a small spectrum analyzer. "just like that".

No output from the T5 aerial, no output from the RF board.

Scoped the input signal to the rf board, all correct as far as I can tell.
Voltage regulator correct.

Knowing that spares for these transmitters are nil, has anyone replaced the RF board with another type?

You could try an FrSky hack module, these have been fitted to many other transmitters. If the input to the rf module is OK then it should work.https://www.t9hobbysport.com/frsky-dht-2.4ghz-telemetry-diy-module
It would need FrSky receivers to work.

Thanks Jim,
I'll see what the guy thinks of convering the transmitter.
