Hi Mayhemmers, if it's yachts anyones interested in try the excellent Yachtspotter.com.
Here  you can find interesting debate, Yacht data 'cards', and a forum for reporting yacht positions worldwide. Loads of good pictures too some of close details for anyone attempting a scratch build or detailing a Graupner Pegasus or a Monnraker.

My personal favourite of the Sailing yacht variety is Maltese Falcon - try Googling. It is truly awesome whilst still being what I'd call tasteful. It has a computer aided Dyna -rig sail and mast setup that makes shorthanded sailing a breeze apparently.

I too saw the picture in todays Teegraph but a publication to check out next time you're in WH Smiths is the excellent Boat International mag. Page after page of gin palaces most mere mortals can only dream about.

Great photos CDSC123.
I guess they are taking on fuel ?
Where in the world are you? Thats a great view from your kitchen window.
I'm fascinated by yachts both classic design and the modern but reading through Boat International I can see what counts for tastefullness as opposed to just plain tacky. I love classic designs and  particularly re modelling of ships from previous incarnations as merchant ships/tugs etc.
When my parents were at the cricket world cup in the West Indies earlier in the year they were lucky enough to be guests and overnight aboard Sherakhan. 228ft of sheer luxury converted from an Ocean going salvage tug built in 1965.
My mother, who expressed my interest in such things was given a guided tour of the vessel by the captain and at the end was presented with a substantial book detailing the refit and designs.
This was left in their hotel in St Lucia by my father who deemed they had too much luggage to go in the seaplane back to Barbados.
I wish they'd had the good sense to mail this back to Blighty for the purpose of my further education in such matters.
Their host's own vessel was not available for use so Sherakhan was chartered - Lord knows how much it must of cost.

Hi Mogs, Shame about the book, if it'd been my folks mum's best dresses would've been donated to a local charity to make space in the bags and dad's library would be a shade larger.
I'm in Gibraltar, yes the yachts berth there (the North Mole) to take bunkers. Agreed re classics, here's my personal favourite;

Must admit he's got me there Tiger Tiger.
I've been all the way through Yachtspotter.com and cant find her. When I have a minute today I'll have a scan through some old copies of BoatInternational and see if she's been up fopr sale or charter in te last 2 years (since i've stashed every copy SWMBO hasnt thrown out!).
That's one beautifull yacht though.
Perhaps if cdsc123 gave us the date the phot was taken I could track back and work it out but I've gone through loads of Gibralter spotting reports and cant find her in the last month or 2.
I would expect Gibralter to file many spottings now the season is coming to a close in the Med and owners are sailing boats back across the atlantic.

Has anybody seen any websites with the grand yachts under sail?

Lots of pics in harbour and a few running with engines, but not at sail.
