Brass etching.
« on: September 24, 2018, 06:33:37 pm »

After success with the brass hinges, they are still working.  O0

I'm now looking into brass etching.
I have the equipment to etch the brass and a UV for the photo resist.

Which program is suited to drawing the parts, freehand drawing is shaky at best.
Are there any ready made drawings that I could experiment with?

If you just need to print black onto the photo resist then simply draw your parts in a program like Microsofts 'Paint' the simplest of drawing progs that comes with every version of Windows. However if you want to do partial etch throughs as well as complete etchs- say for fold lines etc it gets a bit more complicated.
