any ideas for making a speed boat windscreen please ?

You don't say how big but 0.25m or 0.50mm Polycarbonate should do most jobs easily cut and virtually unbreakable.  It'll bend easily too.  Should be able to get it on fleabay.

Use thin card to mock it up by bending it around the curves on the boat and cutting to shape. Then transfer the shape to flexiible clear plastic adding tabs to secure it at the front and sides with Canopy Glue. Use something like Trimline tape to simulate the frame.

You should end up with somthing like the image below.

Not sure if you have 2 litre plastic soda bottles in your area but they might be an option as well.
