Type 42 Batch 1 Hangar lights

(1/1)

justboatonic:
Hello, another Type 42 specific question regarding the hangar lights.
At the sides of the hangar are two small platforms that have 3 lights each. Presumably these are floodlights? If they are, are these just white lights and not coloured?
Also, over the top of the hangar on a gantry are a number of small lights. Are these to help the heli pilot determine the centre line for take off and landing? Are these lights white or some other colour?

This is a picture of York.

justboatonic:
Anyone able to answer these two questions? What colour are the over hangar roof lights and are the wing mounted lights white?

TIA.

warspite:
Not sure if this will help as I do not think it is uk ship specific, I generally don't know anyway, but found this

Dixie212:

All lights are white, the two groups of three are flood lights to illuminate the flight deck for night operations. The lights above the hangar are an artificial horizon with a small cluster in the centre to mark the centre line for landing.

Hope this helps.

Thanks both  :-))
