Not sure you could replicate low revs high torque without gearing down

This one would be very close in final speed at 12v, and probably have similar torque.

it is very similar in size, but it is shorter,  50x60 vs 51x72, i doubt if the mounting holes will match up.  both are roughly 4600rpm at 12 volts, both have 6mm shafts.

I would recommend a good brushless ESC, like this one from castle creations.   the reason for the high-end ESC is so that any anomalies that you do find between how the brushless motor and brushed motor operates can be massaged with settings in the ESC.

I have read a number of threads on T12's and always given to believe they are nearer 3,000rpm. I don't think MMM publish the specs for T12 & T24 ?

Belay that

I have four boats fitted with a T12. All are Tugs and Cargo Boats and you can almost count the revolutions as the boat passes at normal cruise speed. 250 rpm perhaps? This is the job the T12 is designed to do. Can it really be done by a brushless motor? I am not overly knowledgeable about brushless technology but would have my doubts about the compatibility of the task with the sort of performance you would need a brushless motor for.

???  since when does a brushless setup require "the sort of performance you would need a brushless motor for"...  explain this pre-conceived notion/baggage you bring to the discussion.

Very impressive demonstration thanks  :-))  As I presumed with gear reduction. I wonder how this stands up for torque tugging a heavy vessel
