Orkney Express was marketed as an Oil Company's fast workboat.  It's seems to be a "composite" of various similar work boats.  I don't know when it was first released.

I've been a club member for 30 years and it that time I have seen only one of these. Not sure when Robbe  released the model but it was sailing on our water in the early to mid nineties.

A part kit was advertised some months ago on EBay -it was described as a "Dusseldorf Fireboat" and at a  ridiculously low asking price -like moraly wrong I felt I had to contact them not to be robbed blind.  It had none of the extras, but if I recall it was something like £50.  It was too big for me to take -but the seller wouldn't accept it was worth at least 3x the price or more for what they wanted if they would only adjust the title of their ad <:(

he also had what he described as a workboat with a "well deck slip" on the rear for 17 quid...……...I told him it was a rare "Theodor Huss, German lifeboat by Graupner and worth more than he was asking.........he did nothing about it and it sold for 20 quid or there abouts...........

I remember the Orkney Express being reviewed in MMI in the early 90s (or thereabouts). There was a great picture of it sitting on perfectly still water, might even have been the cover shot. I no longer have the magazine (sob) but can still 'see' that picture!
