"Breeze" build

Just acquired the 40" hull and plans for the cutter, Breeze which i am.now about to start.


First thing is to build a cradle then the lead pouring then look at frames I guess.


If anyone is interestrd I will keep a build blog, otherwise its silent running...

Ok thanks.  Itll keep me going too...always too much on the bench.


I floated the hull today and I reckon she needs about 5.5kg of lead to get her right.  Once she is fitted out I think she'll be just right.  Ive got the lead sorted (old bullets from a shooting range) so a quick clean off and lay them down.  Ive jyst been thinking of what to cement them in place with.  Not concrete presumably, althiugh thinking it through, I do have a bag of concrete.


I was thinking of casting resin anyway.

Been tied up building new polished concrete garden tables, spent last two days repairing an aerial rotator for my amateur radio actovities.
Next job on the bench is to study the plan, mark a waterline /antifouling and paint the hull.  Im using a copy of Classic Boats to help me here.

Nothing.  I need to cut fibreglass and this is qn outdoors job.  U til the weather warms up a bit in not budging.  Plenty of indoor work to do whilst I'm looking through the window at frost...


How's modelling your end?
