sealing up boat from water
(1/1)
Gardener:
do I need to seal the plywood and joints between hull and sides etc with anything other than the acrylic paint I will use to finish off the boat ?
JimG:
Best to use a sealer such as sanding sealer or brushing epoxy to seal the wood then sand to give a smooth finish. This will be easier to paint than the unsealed wood. painting straight to the wood will need a lot of coats and sanding to give a good finish.

Running epoxy along the joint would also add strength.
