Hitec 725BB sail winch
« on: November 26, 2018, 10:08:44 pm »

Is it possible to reduce the number of turns on my Hitec 725BB sail winch  from in excess of five turns to 3 turns?
I'm a Luddite when it comes to anything technical so if there is a way to achieve the desired result could it be explained in 'Idiot Speak'

Thanks

if you have a computerized radio, setting the endpoint adjustment for that channel will alter the number of rotations for that servo.  ie 80% of normal servo throw for that servo of 5 turns would be 4 turns.  60% of 5 turns would be 3 turns...

Or if that isn't an option, fit a "Servomorph" (one of the Action devices, available from Component Shop) between the radio and winch.  Set the travel on that to suit your radio.
Or, if such things are available, a smaller diameter drum.
