thanks for posting that Derek...……..it brings back great memories of when I and mates saw Ken on Blowering dam in '77/8.
It saddens me though that these days there are but a handful of people to go and watch these daring fetes of human power against the elements, after all that the pioneers sacrifice to set up such records.
Perhaps we live in an age these days where very few care about such matters...……..is it PC for them to do such things when such as global warming are on the agenda to send a boat down a lake at breath taking speeds.
I for one can only say my heart is in such things as I lived as a boy in an era of WSR's and only wish there were more of them, but I suppose now adays I like those in the video are in a minority, …………..but my mind will never be changed by those who think it wrong to do so.
After all, where would we be today without such pioneers of the 20th century! that went before us.
